Did they remove Set Items and Uniques for DIII?

There's still Set and Legendary (DIII's Uniques), but the drops are locked to the class you're playing. For example, if you play as a Witch Doctor, you can't get gear that's useful for barbarians and vice-versa. And from what I've gathered in the blizzard forums, the better the items, the rarer the drops, even more so than it was on DII, so these moments, even for gear usable only by your character, will be difficult to obtain.

Yeah, so you put them in your stash, for your other characters to use. No items have been lost and with 500% MF you'll still find treasure troves like the one in your pic.

There's also 16, yes 16 armors tiers, I found this spoilerific video with all of them:

Shared stash, now that's a pretty good addition. It really ticked me off on the D2 SP the lack of such a Stash, especially when you received an extremely epic item for another class and couldn't do squat with it (thank PlugY for fixing that huge oversight).

Well there's a map to help you out with that.

map!! that's foreign concept to me??? i've never used a map in a game ever!!!!

Trust me, you'll need it for any Diablo game . Having said that, the map on DII can be a bit intrusive, since it gets on the middle of the screen and can be a bit of a nuisance sometimes, even on Fade option, thankfully you can Tab it out whenever you want.

Do you mean a real life paper map? Why do you need it? My experience with Diablo is very limited but similar games like Titan Quest never had use for a map.

I think I'm ready for d3.

No, I was talking about the full screen map.

So, I didn't mention before, but my desk was for a contest.
Here is my submission, and I will find out the result probably in a couple days

Oh okay. Now are any locations randomly generated in Diablo? Only loot is, right? Nothing in the geography ever changes, right?

Well, I won the contest. Lucky me! Free copy of Diablo 3 for yours truly.

Every map is randomly generated, though in SP it keeps the last used map for any area. On MP, every map is randomly generated every time you start up your character or switch acts.
