Really? That's awkward... Soon we'll have terrosrists paying extra to blow up planes?

You know, the solution to this is pretty simple: Don't treat Americans like suspected terrorists simply because they're traveling on an airplane.  The FBI and other federal organizations can have a list of the people they know are dangerous and shouldn't be flying.  We shouldn't all suffer the price and humiliation for a few hundred people's hatred and violent tendencies.

Actually Russia is constantly being bombarded by Islamic terrorism, and the threat at least is credible across most of Europe and much of Africa

COMICAL!! I'm sure any ol' pilot is a great shot, and would never hit a window, depressurizing the cabin and sucking a bunch of folks out or anything! Oooo!! I know!! That's probably because Russia is the only country in the world that has been a greater enemy to Islam than the US since the Byzantine Empire existed.
