I really have the feeling that you are one of the person will enjoy hearing it. Can't wait for march 29 with full reveal of the new atelier.

I'm really curious what the Tecmo buyout means since this title is apparently self-publshed by Gust again.  Maybe it just affects Western publishing.  I'm trying to get in contact with someone from NISA to find out, but they'll probably just tell me they don't know.  Worth trying regarldess though.

I am also wondering about why Gust publishing it again instead of TK and please Feel free to update me when you find something in contacting NISA.

She got back to me.  I love dealing with NISA, they're so quick to respond even to my silly little questions like that, Nao is awesome.   She can confirm that NISA and Gust will still be working together but what titles NISA will publish has not been finalized so she can't specify that at all.  So I'd bet Atelier will continue to be handled by them but nothing is finalized for that or the Surge Concerto game which I'm not even sure will make it to NA.

...

Nice! I haven't actually played any of the PS3 Atelier games, although I do own Rorona and I need to pick up Totori and then Meruru when it's released.

That said, if TK does handle the localizations, I hope they actually do a full localization and not what they did for Warriors Orochi 3, which pissed me off since they kept the Japanese voices only and it's now a PSN-only release. I sincerely hope that NISA keeps the rights to the localization of the Atelier series.

I wonder how much money there making off these games, I know most of Japanese companies have very low production values so they often profit but the highest selling game of the series is 300K on the PS3 and there's already 3 Atelier games on the PS3.

But then again this could sell good, the PS3 has been doing real good lately in Japan, like it's taking over it's other brothers footsteps the PSP.

This series is a pretty strong argument as to why small, niche games can do well on HD consoles. A full retail release has been profitable to get a Atelier triology and soon to be another games in the overall series.

I really love NISA. One of my favorite publishers and I know it's not finalized but since gust is still the publisher in Japan. I think Gust has still has a say on the matter specially on Atelier franchise and they want NISA to still handle it or maybe NISA and Gust still has a contract and TK will just localize it in eurpoean countries.

8 more days to go for the full reveal.

New PS3 Atelier Game is Atelier Ayesha

Ayesha heads out on a journey to find her little sister Nio.

The official name for Gust's Project A14 has Ayesha revealed in Dengeki PlayStation this week to be Ayesha no Atelier, or Atelier Ayesha.

The magazine reveals two characters: Ayesha Artool (voiced by Marina Inoue) and Nio Artool (voiced by Mariya Ise). At the game's unveiling last week, Gust announced the voice actresses, but did not share the character names or the new character designer. Dengeki reveals the designer to be Hidari (known for the Fractal anime).

Nio is Ayesha's little sister. Nio has gone missing, leaving Ayesha lonely. Just as she has come to grips with her sadness, Ayesha discovers some traces of her sister and comes to believe that she is alive somewhere. Ayesha heads out her journey.

Dengeki mentions one new gameplay system, the "Connect the Memories" system. As Ayesha progresses on her search for her sister, all the various happenings will be recorded in a journal. As she reviews these journal entries, she will grow.

The game will have a command battle system with a newly added "cost" element. Enemy position is a central element to strategy, as it seems that attacking more distant enemies will require additional cost.

Atelier Ayesha will be released on June 28.

its nice to see them making another Atelier game and having faith in atleast 1 of the consoles

but i just dont understand why they wont make a Mana Khemia game for PS3..

Why would they? Atelier has done quite well and it'll do substantially better than a new Mana Khemia (which would require near identical investment).
