An interesting one for video-games... if the data is credible it seems that media scare-stories about violent video games occur in a yearly cycle centered around Christmas... of particular note is the regularity of the high-point for the last 5-6 years occurring in November (looks at Call of Duty)
Still, it does seem to be lessening over time since 2004 (though perhaps will increase with the new gen due to 'even more realistic graphical violence')
