Forums - Gaming Discussion - I've always felt like most PS3 fans are Liberals

I consider 360 fans to be right wing, but only because they earned it this gen. In the HD console race there is only 360 and PS3.

However id consider PS3 fans to resemble "far-right" wing ideals.

Have eletist mindset carries over from PS2 gen, Every exclusive is God, PS3 is God, PSP/Vita is God, Sony is God, Nintendo and MS are inferiors (yet is loosing to both), etc. etc.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

what console is that?

The DildoStation

I don't even know what liberals and democrats are or think like but I know they're from the US (not sure if they exist in other countries though, lol), and most PS3 fans aren't from the US.

Democrats allow you to run naked on the streets

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

Console Wars + Politics = Shitstorm squared.

Now we just have to add religion and a little ad-hominem into this somehow to have Shitstorm cubed.

Might I suggest:

"All PS3 owners are liberal idiots who lack the intellectual capacity necessary to comprehend evolution." From there, you say how they are dumb enough to buy a console with no games which makes sense considering they don't believe in evolution. I'm not familiar with politcs so you'll have to find something to go off of from there.

Always took them to be more like republicans (right wing), since they generally see sony doing no wrong.

Again if you mean to associate parties with consoles for whatever reason.

Given I view them more of like the Galactic Empire of Star Wars.

There's a difference between a fan and blind supporter. Still, I think it's wrong to generalize to begin with, because we only know a fraction of any fan amount. I could make the assumption that Xbox fans are always condescending and rude and Nintendo fans smug and conceited based on what I've seen on the net. Doesn't mean I have anything concrete to jump to that conclusion.

In fact, this really applies to this whole topic.

Look man, we don't like reasonable arguments and equal treatment in here ok? We talk in absolutes and try our hardest to offend other users.

You are right I didn't try hard enough. Sony fans are like Tea Party. End of Story. :P

I'm somewhere between a social democrat and a neo-revisionist socialist, and my home console of choice is the Wii. Where do I fit in?

I've always had this weird feeling that most ps3 fans are leftists/liberals. Yes i know that politics doesn't have anything to do with Gaming but for some strange reason i always felt this way.

are you a liberal ps3 fan?

I don't know if anyone has already said this...but leftist and liberal aren't the same thing, in fact they're pretty much opposite.

Leftist = socialist/communist i.e. in favour of big government, regulations, taxation, etc.

Liberalism (taken directly from dictionary.com) = a political or social philosophy advocating the freedom of the individual i.e. small government, freedom, little to no tax

The term liberal is misused a lot, especially here in Canada since the Liberals are a political party who are socialist (or centrist at best).

And to answer the OP, no. Video game choice has nothin to do with political views.

This is such a bad thread idea that it actually made me laugh out loud a little. Generalizing the majority of a group of people with an unrelated characteristic with no explanation or reason is not good thread material.

Locked.
