Forums - Sales - Global HW/SW Up ! (10th March)

Tretton knew what he was talking about when he wished the Vita could hit 500k in 3 weeks. They clearly never set high expectations.

Though with 3DS sales dropping a bit in the West, I wonder if handheld gaming is now purely a Japanese creature.

Good start for Mass Effect, constantly expanding your brand is awesome.

Market has already determined that a $249/299 portable gaming system is not sustainable so the vita's numbers are not that surprising.

I don't want to say that people are voting with their feet but Nintendo has an image problem in the US, those 3DS/Wii sales, both in terms of hardware and software (with all the game releases) are atrocious, even for February.

I see nothing wrong with those 3DS sales, they're only now starting to fall since I imagine a good portion of those that wanted MK7 and SM3DL are now in possession of it. We'll just have to wait until Kid Icarus and Layton come out this month to ascertain whether there is a loss of interest in the hardware or just a lack of software.

The 3DS has enough titles available to sustain some level of stability for its hardware sales, its working for Japan, its not in the west and thats a problem.  ITs one of the highlights that Nintendo pointed out with their comparision with the DS, over 100 titles.

Mass Effect PS3 did great! Considering 360 can transfer saves from #1, brand was established on 360 and ME2 was released a year later. I guess I am one of the PS3 ME3 purchasers.

Despite the atrocious ending I think the game will shatter #2's sales (1+2 combined even? Mmm maybe not)

If you follow the 'Shepard was indoctrinated' line of thought and get 5000 EMS, the ending is actually pretty good. Downside there is that it's not finished, and you'll be returning to fight on Earth with DLC.

I don't believe it has enough titles here to be honest after a year. Japan has a far better 3DS library than us, the region lock doesn't help either.

ME3 is the latest 360 beast.

I think the PS3 sales of the game are solid too. Others wont agree but I think that is a good opening.

I agree, for a series that's some what new to the system i think it did great on PS3, it sold better then some of Sony's exclusives.

You wanna have your opinion, then you have to respect different opinions as well.

Besides ME3 on 360, PS3 and PC there's nothing really to write home about, even for this time of the year, this is just plain horrid.

Great Mass Effect 3 sales. Nice start for MLB The Show 12.
And the Vita will have a slight chance to be over 100 000 unitw worldwide this week. Not bad but also not great.
