Yeah the less skin the better. I think avatars should represent the person who displays them, not represent what that person thinks is sexy.

I mean here's the definition:
1. Hindu Mythology . the descent of a deity to the earth in an incarnate form or some manifest shape; the incarnation of a god.
2. an embodiment or personification, as of a principle, attitude, or view of life.
3. Digital Technology . a graphical image that represents a person, as on the Internet.
4. (in science fiction) a hybrid creature, composed of human and alien DNA and remotely controlled by the mind of a genetically matched human being.

For a forum we use use #3.

I made my avatar in Photoshop to look like a cartoony version of myself. I don't expect everyone to do that, but I do think it a little juvenile to display a picture of someone you find hot.

but nobody has to to know how i look not even as comic character so what shall i do then? just using none avatar? i think if everyone who doesn't like to let people know how he looks would stop using other pictures 90% would have th same picture, the standard picture <--- bad and boring idea

the only reason i know your avatar is representing yourself is because you said it now. so for me your picture was the same as someone with a bart simpson pic or so, just a comic pic of an imaginary person.

Besides Smokedhostage, all the girl's in avatars annoyed me. So unoriginal, the guys I figured were just a response to the girls. So meh
