Hmm...should I put more stock in Mark Reid's words or Michael Pachter's? It's hard to say. Lol !

I did a poll recently. Asking who was liked more Reggie or Pachter the Analyst. Pachter recieved "0" votes. So you should trust Mark Reid. I post this so people could see something other than Pachter dooming the Wii U.

I answered that poll and I voted for Reggie .  I definitely will take Reid over Pachter any day.  Pachter is just a Negative Nancy when it comes to all things Nintendo.

Are to suggesting Pachter is one of those stuck up tidy gay people? A "Negative Nancy"?

Lol...oh no, I wasn't suggesting that at all.  I hope it didn't come off as that way.

Meh... It's not like you'd expect him to say "Wii U will probably sell like shit".

Why not?

He's not a Nintendo rep, and he's criticised them before.

Epic made their tech-demo that was shown at last E3. They clearly have some sort of co-operation, probably Unreal Engine related.

They wouldn't have cooperated in the first place if they thought the Wii U would flop though, so they must already have had faith in its sales.

It's a mixture of their special game platforms, xbox+ipad, of course they have faith.

You say tomato, I say tomato

"¡Viva la Ñ!"

Well Epic is always talking about how their games need to always push their latest engine. With the Samaritan demo it is apparent that Epic will likely pass over WiiU unless by some miracle it has the graphical power to handle the new engine which it likely won't. Sad that Epic is always so focused on raw power rather then just making great games. I mean their games are great but really I am sure if they put the effort they do on graphics into game play we would see even better games.

"Did you play that Battle Mii game? Two players would play with a Wii Remote and Nunchuk and one would play with the Wii U controller? I would buy a Wii U to play that game in a heartbeat."

$299-400 just to play a game like that hey. Uh huh...

Wii U will sell very well. Put a Mario, Smash Bros, Zelda and Mario Kart on there and you'll replicate what the 3DS is currently doing sales wise. Granted I want to see some new IPs from Nintendo, one can't deny the popularity of their IPs.

I think Mark Rein is even more excited than i am! :D
Well, he has seen some serious stuff already and given his happy words i`m pretty sure Epic and Nintendo are having a good time! ;)

I think people are greatly over-estimating what the minimum requirements of the Unreal 4 Engine will be ... I could be wrong but I suspect that, much like the Tech 5 engine, the Unreal 4 engine will be designed to run on the PS3 and XBox 360 with the additional processing power of higher end systems used to enhance visuals.

For a company like Epic today, they're probably much more motivated to create a game engine that scales to run on everything from a smart-phone/tablet to a high end gaming PC because that is what the publishers want. We're in an era of videogame developement where third party publishers will want games ported to as many platforms as possible to compensate for high development costs by ensuring that anyone who wants to play a game has it available for a platform they own.

The Wii U may not be the most powerful system that the Unreal 4 engine will run on but I will bet almost any value that it will officially be supported by Epic as a platform for the Unreal 4 engine.

Surprising words coming from Mark Rein.

But given that he mentions the Unreal Engine 3, he may be just glad to have another platform where developers can use their proven and well known engine to develop for. It's better not to have any illusions about UE4 on WiiU until we get real evidences of it.

On another note, I'm now intrigued by how Arkham City will use the controller.

Please excuse my bad English.

Yay more Wii U good news! Hype level rising!
