Which ones do you like more?

I think we're all glad they didn't go that route. I would have hated Cadance and Shining Armor if they did. I actually expected that I would dislike them, but after having seen the finale, I like them quite a bit.

Also, I felt that way at first about the songs, but I loved This Day Aria because it was so unexpected and it fit really well. They've all grown on me after I've listened to them more... which is pretty common with a lot of the songs in the series.

My top 3 are

1. Art of the Dress

2. Smile Smile Smile

3. At the Gala

The Flim Flam Brothers and Hush Now Quiet Now get special mentions too.

Yeah, I was surprised by how much I liked Shining Armor and Cadence too.

(I actually meant which episodes, but that works too!)

I think I'd have to add Winter Wrap Up to my top three songs. Smile Smile Smile would be another, but the third? I don't know if I could decide. As for favourite episodes... The finale is up there. I can't think of one that I liked more, but I can think of some I like about as much. I think that the finale was a fantastic ending to the season. The only thing that would have made it better is if it had been longer. The pacing felt a bit off to me, and I think they originally intended it to be a three part episode, which would explain why.

Oops, my bad xD

I'm not sure how to rate the episodes. The final was definitely up there. Maybe something like this

1. Sisterhood Social (<3 Sweetie and Rarity)

2. The Last Roundup

3=4=5 Lesson Zero, A Canterlot Wedding, May the Best Pet Win

yeah, the pacing was a bit fast. But if they moved it up to an hour and a half they may have had parts where it moved too slow

Edit: Also yay for Vinyl Scratch's return :D

Interesting choice for number one. I hadn't even considered it. That one was a good one, but I don't think it's in my top three (though Sweetie Belle is best CMC).

True. I think they could have pulled it off easily though, especially if that was their original intent, and they had to shorten it to fit into two episodes. Still, I think it turned out great. Plus, whatever I think about how things were resolved, I love the background music during that part (starts around 0:43).

And her eyes are red/magenta...ish!

Hmm. I didn't know they shortened it.

She is also yellow!

I don't know that they did either. It was a rumor I saw circulating around a while ago. It could very well be wrong. Either way though, I am happy with the finale.

I didn't know that! She looks white to me...

I was able to catch the royal wedding this morning on HUB (jet lag has me out of bed quicker the last few days). I do agree that the episode seemed to wrap up almost inconclusively quickly, but it was well-played for all that, and unlike with Discord and Nightmare Moon, it seems like Chrysalis could more easily recur (Discord could technically, but you figure the seal should last a bit)

I did like the stinger joke from Spike

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

My favourite episodes:

1. A Canterlot Wedding
2. The Last Roundup
3. Sonic Rainboom
4. Pilot Part 1
5. Green Isn't Your Colour

She's just like Derpy. A one-scene-wonder from back in season one that resonated with a lot of people, especially in the fanmusic community. Her reappearence is a great shout-out to fans, ala Derpy becoming canon.

The big deal about the eyes was that she only appeared with glasses on at first, thus hiding one of the chief distinguishing characteristics in this style of animation. Honestly, other than eyes, you've got species, gender, fur and mane colors, and hairdo to distinguish between ponies. So the eye color was sort of a mystery simply due to our lack of info.
