That seems to be the way to do it: put in a few years building a fanbase, then cash out with Kickstarter.

:O I saw these last week but forgot to post them. I even found the site that sells them and everything. I wanted a Fluttershy one but they only made them on commission which was expensive stuff :(

Yeah I know which store you're talking about, even though they look awesome £23 is too expensive for a small cushion.

Some of the complainers are dead on, others seem to have no sense of humor. The entries on "Boast Busters" seems to work, though. Trixie really wasn't a bad pony, just a showpony, and only Rarity, Applejack, and Rainbow Dash being obnoxious hecklers made her into a villain

They are also correct in that Princess Cadence is a total Mary Sue who would likely have been laughed out of any fanfiction...

Some of these raise good points that felt a bit funny in the episodes (Boast Busters and Party of One being two that come to mind straight away) however they have seriously over-read the show haha. Some of these are things you can only arrive at by making ridiculous jumps in what things imply. That said, I am pretty sure some of them are just people who want to hate for the sake of a laugh.

This is the internet, and furthermore the Brony community.  Overthinking things and jumping to conclusions are kind of what we  do.  Well, what they do.  I tty to keep my enjoyment of the show to a healthy medium.
