The thing about Pinkie Pie is that I find her episodes really weak. Besides Party of One which I really liked. The two weakest episodes of season 2 were Mmmystery and Baby Cakes.

I forgot about Cranky's episode, besides the song, that one was a low point to. But yeah, I agree with you, none of those characters were reallly memorable.

 

I really think Pinkie Pie meshes really well with any other of the other mane 6, but on her own she is too random for me. Had Twilight stayed to help her baby sit in Baby Cakes then the episode might not have turned out half bad.

I liked Baby Cakes!! Now that I think about it, I liked all on Pinkie's episodes.
Party of One, Baby Cakes, Friend in Deed, those were all good episodes :D

I like the "detective" part, but if you stop to think about the actual mystery being solved (knowing who the culprits are), it seems really weak.  I mean, can you honestly say it seems at all in character for them?  It's a complete throwaway episode.  Fun but stupid.
