1. Most of us start out like that. I did. But I gave it a shot, and actually enjoyed it. I figure it was a good thing, because I found something else that I enjoy in life. Seems like a good deal to me. It also taught me a vaulable lesson about friendship. Don't judge a book by its cover.

2. I don't necessarily care if people give it a try. What I hope to see is people moving past the "Ewww, if you like that show, you're gay" or "Dude, that's for little girls!" stuff. They don't even have to try it, as long as they don't make a big fuss that I, and others, do like it. I would hope that they give it a shot, but if they don't, that's fine.

The humor comes after the pilot, which, quite frankly, could be better. The pilot mostly serves as a way to introduce characters and concepts.

Almost every other episode has a better sense of humor.

Yep, it works, but MLP is just like Transformers and Hello Kitty, very clever marketing, a show born with merchandising in mind. The difference is that I can concede you MLP is well done, while the first Transformers TV series was horribly crappy, and about Hello Kitty, well, no comment :-S   
Anyway my little kawaii craves were fully satisfied by "Hello Spank!" and I never liked any cute anime as much as it (it wasn't just cute, but very funny too, the Italian dubbing made me ROTFL)   

Rol, the humour is very character driven, you have to get used to the characters. I suggest you try an episode that isn't Pilot part 2, something like S2E14 The Last Roundup or S1E20 Green Isn't Your Color.

I don't know if I've found my special talent yet, but I enjoy writing and am thinking about studying history at university, so maybe something related to one of those things :)

I'd guess my cutie mark would be drums or some martial arts related thing. Those are my two biggest hobbies (along with gaming, of course), and I'd like to think I'm pretty good at what I do.

Also, here is a fake picture of season 3 (and the end of season 2)! Just a warning, if you don't want the last two episodes of this season summarized in a couple of sentences (obviously just the premise and not the full plot), ignore the first two pieces as they are correct, except for the featured song in the second one.

Actually I decided I couldn't wait for this guy to make more stuff so I'm commissioning him. I've probably spent more than the seasons would cost on US iTunes if I was allowed to buy it, on donating or buying albums of pony music composers.
