Where's the "NO" option in your poll? It seems to infer that it will be outsold no matter what.

| ils411 said: nope, never. but at least its market share will go down to probably the high 30s percentage. making all those who predicted that the wii will take 50% of the market look stupid and foolish...i wonder where those fools are right now. |
Somebody didn't align the launches, or take into account what the Wii would have sold if it wasn't out of stock for 3 holidays.

Note that the poll-question and thread-question are different.

and the point is? those who want a wii in the past would have already gotten one by now so there goest the "out of stock during holliday" argument. aligning or not, final numbers is what counts and the wii is droping out of the race fast. and market share will also drop.
Sony has yet to release a really slimed down PS3 which I bleieve they will and who knows, Microsoft may have something similar to counter the WiiU.
The way I see it, MS and Sony will both launch re-designed models with massive price drops before the WiiU's launch. Or at least I believe this is the best move they can do to counter the WiiU enough until they can release their true next gen consoles.

The point was that if the Wii was in stock it would have reached 50% and if you align the launches, we still use that qualifier, then Wii did reach 50%.
Your combining of the twins (do we still use the term HD?) reminds everyone of how desperate certain posters were in 2008.

I'm sure Halo and GTA broke new ground but they sold because of last gen, not anything they did this gen. Pre-CoD, PS3/360 sold because the Wii sold. Wii got people gaming, PS3/360 offered big budget/high-end gaming, CoD being the prime example. Without the Wii, I don't believe the 360/PS3 would have sold as much. Just as the PSP lived off the DS success. Nintendo got people back into gaming such that they bought extra consoles/more gaming. How many PSP owners have never played/owned/had access to a DS? How many 360/PS3 owners never owned/had access to a Wii? |
Just....no. Wii success had no impact on PS3 or Xbox 360.
Sure it could have something to do with Kinect and Move sales but not anything else.
I am one of those people that has never owned a Wii or a DS and own both a PSP and PS3.

Of course it did. If mom has bought a Wii for herself with Wii Fit then you can save your $250 and buy a 360 and Mario Galaxy instead while still retaining your elite gamer status by not being forced to buy Wii Sports.

What? You're implying that "mom" wants a Wii or worse that I am obligated to buy her one.
Oh and why would I buy an XBox 360 and Mario Galaxy if mom is the one with the Wii?
I don't think I understand what you're trying to say.
Yes all three will be above 100 milions
PS3>X360> Wii through i might be wrong on the last two ;)
