No. I have job in part due to VGC. So my time here hasn't been wasted.

In the past, yes. I found my self talking about video games, sales, and everything else more than actually playing video games. Of course, the off-topic forum is addicting too. Once you stop visiting for a while and discover all that free time you were wasting before it is hard to justify wasting all your time...

in the past 3 days i've only found about 8 good threads and 4 worth posting in. i'm trying to humor myself but it's not working.

there's no other site worth going to so i say why waste your time anywhere else.

IGN: looks like crap

GameSpy: has gone full PC, so it's a complete waste of time.

neogaf: is just complete crap, although it's the site that gets information allot faster then other sites.

G4tv: is the best place to view vid's, but imo has the worse structure, and really isn't worth the wasted time.

Gaminformer: as many should know, is the place i use to my threads from, but really isn't interesting pass that.

Gametrailers: i hate the took of it, but i may need to go back to get some of their vid's as they have millions of them.

VGC: gets information at the last minute, use to have very dedicated/lively user base that cared about the content/context of their post/threads were made based on the info given, the PS members seem to be hiding in the Vita thread cause of negative user feedback from what i'd guess are other members from other camps. not really sure, as i don't pay(can't afford to) attention any more. 

allot of key members, no longer bother to waste there time cause they're simply tiered of the BS, and have lives to live.

luckily for vgc, it has a userbase that can't be rivaled by any other site, regardless of how many legends it losses. vgc still has users worth debating, analyst and creditable writers that make sense, new users (2011-2012) that have picked up a percentage of the slack most of the legends turned college students left as they became less active, mod's that take allot of crap, make questionable calls/moderations, yet make the site livable.

 

all in all, no matter how much i want to leave, this site has the most creditable, reasonable, bias, entertaining trolls, and intelligent minds, and simply can't be rivaled by any other site.

we have all kinds of crazy topic's, disagree and argue like most crazy families and 2 yr. olds, find common ground, agree to disagree at times, needlessly insult each other, and............

ok enough of this reasonable objective BS. this site has problems now everyone blame yourself.

Hey Jay520 I know how you feel. I've actually had a mod ban me from this site for a month cause I felt my time on here was getting out of control. It is a great site, with a great forum with the best community I've ever found. It's also a fantastic tool to use to procrastinate my life away when I should be doing something better, which is probably 90% of the time.
Heck, as a Wii only owner there's barely any interesting discussion left on this site (or any) for me to even check out but I waste time on here anyway hoping something will pop up of interest. .
Anyway, you are not alone. I too need to curb my use of this site. I do, but then I get bored and I'm back on, but then I'm still on here when I should be doing other things. It's addictive somehow. Now sure how to maintain a balance on it, and perhaps the answer is to just stop coming on at all and find something else to do when I'm bored. Shame. I do love the forum. But life is too precious to waste, and waste it I do.

I've been coming on this site for over five years now. I do somethings feel like I am wasting my time but, this year i have also curbed my Facebook problem. I felt i was wasting way too much time i it, which i was it was a major life drain and even at work i would be on Facebook. I now have not been on in since the beginning of the year and i love it. I have more time to come on here....

Oh I shall mention that, i feel like i come on here way too much to making up for not being on Facebook. I figure that at least I am on here i may learn something, instead of just watching the same people most stuff that i really dont care about.

Yeah.. I only came to this site to find girls interessted in gaming.. Still looking.. Every single day... What a waste..
