Zero Chances, it's not worth even the speculation.

I would bold the zero, but looks like it's not necessary anymore lol!

There's no and in Banjo Kazooie.
But yeah, Rare is finished. It's been done. That's why Nintendo gave them up in the first place. I'm sure the only thing is getting BK rights, and maybe conkers.

Warning... take this rumor with a major grain of salt. This rumor involves Nintendo, Retro, and Rare.

"According to the tipster, Nintendo is in direct negotiations with Microsoft to buy RARE, though the purpose of buying them seems to be all based around getting the rights to Banjo and Kazooie. Of course, we can’t forget the other key franchises Nintendo gets with the acquisition. Conker’s Bad Fur Day may have been shunned by Nintendo, but a sequel to that game should be embraced by the Nintendo brass if they want the Wii U to really be for everyone. Of course, this rumor doesn’t stop there - it goes as far as to suggest that Retro Studios is actually deep into development on a Banjo and Kazooie title, and that the talks with Microsoft have been ongoing for some time."

As much as I want this to come true, I know better than to get my hopes up.

dont forget some of the other franchises like Blast Corps, Killer Instinct, battletoads, jet force gemini, perfect dark, which were all big names on the nintendo platforms.

strangely enough goldeneye could finally be ported to 3DS also (since Micrososft and Nintnedo would not disagree anymore about it haha)

It would be nice if they could just buy the franchises of them at least.

Now will it come true?

probably not.

Does it make sense for Micrososft to sell?

I think so as they haven't utlised these franchise (except for perfect dark) and have no real benefit to them directly.

Next statement is outside the square and a bit crazy.

Also by giving Nintendo a few franchises that Nintendo needs it may potentially help Micrososft in the long run with the fight against Sony as many people would love to see these franchises revived so perhaps instead of a PS4, a WiiU might become peoples second choice console with these extra revived additions being the deciding factor which to purchase.

Is that better? xD

Nintendo buying Rare now would be a monumental waste of money, the studio haven't made a high quality game since the N64.

Man this video just makes me think of how I'm going to have to tread carefully through here soon. I don't want to spoil this game or NSMB 2.

I know within like 60 hours of NSMB 2 release some crazy Japanese player will have collected 1 million coins and spoil what the prize is. I want to find out on my own.

On a side note I bet there are quite a few gamers chomping at the bit to get their hands on NSMB2 striving to be the first to get to one million coins.

I'm an advocate for motion controls, Nintendo, and Kicking freaking Toad to the Moon!
