Began in 1997. Its potential popularity in the West was butchered by one of the worst dubs and censorships ever witnessed, thus Naruto became popular instead in the West. Since then it's just gotten insanely popular in Japan, it's light hearted adventuring that knows when to change to a serious tone. Arguably has surpassed the likes of DB in terms of Shounen popularity in Japan. Unfortunately though it has been plagued with nothing but terrible videogames. Its recent DS games are probably its best along with this game.

I think with the option of DLC for almost any song and the inherent awesomeness of the songs in the series means that it'll be floating in the charts for quite a while yet

Vita is on freaking life-support. Sony really botched that one.

3DS still pulling it off; doubt the PS3 will be so close to it again for awhile.

3DS still dominating software chart, as well.

WoW, what a megaton launch for One Piece and hardware boost for Ps3!

it's also impressive how 3DS still managed to sell the most hardware and a lot of software despite the megaton launch, which came out of nowhere

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^
