Just been playing our lasses sons 3ds and my hands are killing after playing mario kart ds, am I holding it wrong or something and if so any tips on best way of holding it because my fingers feel crippled!

Let the system breath when you hold it don't clucth it like a child or place it down.

When I had just gotten my 3DS my fingers started hurting after a few hours, especially if I used the L/R buttons a lot, but I guessed I got used to it since I can play for hours now without any trouble.

Well I was planning to buy the cosmos black with resident evil: revelations but can't see me getting into it if my hands are going to feel like that

You get used to it- and it doesn't happen at all if you're using the circle pad pro

At least MK7 doesn't require snaking like MKDS. I can't play MKDS any more due to wrist pain.

I had no trouble with the grip or ergonomics the first time i used the thing and now feels great, easy to use, light and nothing close to painful.....i dont know what you are talking about

people seem to take between 8 and 12 hours for the single player, raid mode is pure gold

I thought it melted people's eyes, not hurt their hands.
