I probably would skip it because we would be the only two indulging in alcohol and or pot. And the rest of them would be too busy arguing over what platform would be the best to play the same multi-platform game on.

Select isn't being used at all and the start button simply starts or resumes the game (depending on title screen or pause screen activation of the Konami code). See, it's been so long that gamers don't really remember it anymore.


Ah shit I almost got it without looking it up...  I used to know it by heart but that was a very long time ago and I haven't played it since then.  They never did release the original on VC did they?  They just released Super C.  I blame my heavy marijuana smoking on forgetting the code!  Never mind you can take my old school gamer badge away...

I was under the impression most old school gamer was in fact Sony's fan. At least, thats how it is where I live. We grew up on Nintendo, Sega and to a lesser extent Atari and Comodore 64, than switched to Sony. Also, since old school gamer usually like japanese games they favor Sony over Microsoft. Poor Rol, Im pretty sure most old school gamers are pretty tired of Nintendo kiddy milked IP by now :P.

Just one thing I am pretty sure Nintendo has made the most new IPs since 2000 era with their DS and Wii lineups.

Yeah thats true, Nintendo is a powerhouse when it comes to making games, I wasnt really serious due to the tone of the thread. In the end, I was really talking about Mario, Zelda, Kirby and DK. Anyway, im working in administration and I would do the same if I were them. That being said, they can do more fire emblems :).

Yea, I knew you weren't serious but I just wanted to point out the new IP thing considering most like to consider Nintendo as just rehashing their old IPs when they actually make a lot of new ones (mainly for others that might view the thread).  I would look for the link of new IPs since 2000+ but I am feeling a little lazy right now (perhaps someone else can post it if needed).

Apparently there were 50 (ign link) but now there are 75!  Thanks most to probably Nintendo published 3DSWare titles such as Pushmo and Freakyforms.
