Forums - Nintendo - Top 8 games that were wasted on the Wii

personally i can't wait to see what Nintendos first party games look like on the WiiU, and I'm not even a Nintendo fan. i do agree that SMG2 should have been saved for the WiiU though.
also can't believe thats a real game, the Kirby one aha

I enjoyed the OP.

I really, really want Metroid Prime HD collection and Mario Galaxy HD collection. That'd be incredibly sweet.

Skyward Sword and Prime 3 would most likely have been inferior on PS360 due to being handcuffed to dual analogue controls. (Move could have helped, but I doubt they'd bother)

Galaxy 2 as well, to a lesser extent.

The fact that the Wii lacks HD is a bad thing?

Using motion controls rather than a normal controller on a "hardcore" title is a bad thing?

Skyward Sword was the number one wasted game on the Wii?

Did see that coming.

If anything the entire Wii library is handcuffed by motion controls. (Except titles like Wii Sports, obviously.)

All the games mentioned are very well received games by both gamers and games journalists, and each one has had some sort of praise for their art styles. It seems to me that you seem to be just like a majority of gamers who think HD is what defines a game. The Wii is a standard def console and yes the games look worse than PS3/360 but the lack of HD polish doesnt detract from the fact that the games mentioned play beautifully and have imaginative art styles to make up for the lack of technical grunt.I fear a lot of poeple will have missed out playing classics such as galaxy 2 and Xenoblade etc,due to HD snobbery.

Man I wish that Xenoblade will one day be ported to the PS3.

Another game that I wish appear on the PS3 is Fatal Frame 4. That game did so poorly on the Wii.

Why only motion motion controls are allowed on DKC Returns is beyond me. It states in the instruction manual that shaking the Wii Remote while holding down on the D-Pad blows. It should state that the entire control scheme for the game blows.

Prime 3's pointer controls blow dual analogue aiming out of the water, and Skyward Sword simply couldn't be done without motion unless you absolutely crippled the combat.

We both know that is bullshit. Dual analogs have far more precision while motion controls are heavily inaccurate and clumsy.

As for skyward Sword, that could easily have been done with another joystick. But if you like swinging your arms around like a (insert offensive word) that's fine by me.
