GREAT REVIEW!  The ending sucked but after seeing another movie, I realized that it set the course for that epic moment later on.

Pierce?  REALLY?  His one liners got so bad that I could have made one liners about his one liners.  :(

Just one more month to the day and I can join in these threads! >.<

Anyway, I'm surprised by this review, my step-dad tells me it's like Casino Royale, unusual for a Bond movie but it has a brilliant story.

Definitely have to watch this one.

Why do you have to wait to join in these threads?

Also the bobsled scene looks so fake! But I will take your word for it. I ordered it on Amazon this morning.

If you are talking about how rear projection was used for it and the skiing scenes I can kind of see your point.  I guess that the car chase scene in Goldfinger looked fake too then...  My point is that this was the technology that was being used in the 60's and I can not hold it against the film.

Also, I think that the bobsled scene looks more realistic than when Bond surfs down a melting glacier with a parachute in Die Another Day.

Lol, I have not een seen the movie yet so do not take what I have tosay as anytthing substantial. Yeah glacier scene was soo stupid. One reason why I did not like MI 2 it was too unbelievable. Tom cruise doing. Doing karate?

But you're ripping on people that say this is their favorite Bond movie?  Hmm.

Did you really order the movie?  If so, tell me what you think of it in a few days.  I believe it to be one of the best.

But come on amp. Better than all the bonds? I admit it could be the epitomy of greatness, but I will have to wait to see.

Also vhs are only 10 cents usually on amazon. I picked up purple people eater as well for 5 bucks

It's not the best in my opinion, but I do see why someone would make the argument that it is.

I cannot believe people are saying this is their favorite bond movie! Connery and Brosnan and Craig are great! Even the 80's guys was so so.

Well, it's my favourite to watch. I like the story, I like the characters, and I like the setting more than any other Bond movie. It's not about which actor is the coolest actor who played Bond (that would be Connery. imo).

For what it's worth, my second favourite is From Russia With Love.

Timothy Dalton was the Bond I grew up on - so the two Dalton movies are also in my top 5 - but not just because of nostalgia, but because I think they are genuinely great Bond movies.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

right i am up to date now,Dianna Rigg can tame any man,i love her,wow lazenby's agent told him not to sign up for more bonds,is he insane, pretty arrogant stuff from him,and dwayne johnsons granpappy in YOLT,classic

great reviews amp, casino royale 67,crazy stuff, dosen't work for me,you only live twice i agree with you and great volcano lair,i like OHMS as much as the connery bonds and better than some of them,i pretty much agree with you so far,but i went to the cinema to see moore bonds, which always makes a difference for nostalgia i'd say,i can't believe people don't like live and let die or man with the golden gun but we will wait and see,the memory is not always right,i'm defo going to buy the dalton and brosnan bonds so i can really comment about them fresh

i was thinking maybe we will get to see Skyfall by the end of the Bond reviews that would be a cool way to end,not sure when it is even out though and we can all watch quantum of solace again, most likely,i've only seen it once

I am a child of the late 80's to mid 90's as well. But for some reason I knew as a kid that Dalton was not the "it" factor in the Bond world. We would try to watch his movies on TV, but it would just not work out. I do like Dalton in Hot Fuzz though!

dalton wanted to take bond back to what he originally was as in a cold killer type, like craig did,he was before his time in a way,i quite like the dalton bonds when i rewatch them even though one story is just a drugs story which i find boring for bonds, its funny how we all swing and roundabout with bonds, really there is one for each time of your life sort of thing and how you are feeling,i like dalton in hot fuzz he was in something else i saw recently but can't remember now, have to check imdb

Whem I first watched The Living Daylights, I couldn't stand it.  I liked Licence to Kill much more.  Then I rewatched TLD and didn't hate it anymore.  The problem with Dalton was that he was the exact opposite of Roger Moore, and I think that most Bond fans were brainwashed into thinking that he should be a joke telling machine.  Timothy Dalton is actually very close to the James Bond from Ian Fleming's books (this includes the positives and negatives).
