Project P-100 looked interesting...

oh and some Pikmin 3 footage...if it was just going to use motion plus then couldn't they have just left it on the Wii?

Yeah, this e3 kind blew.

I guess Sony and Microsoft didn't try out of fear of getting dwarfed by the Wii U, and Nintendo showed us nothing that we didn't already know exept 1 game...and EA can keep Mass Effect 3 to themselves...serisouly, that game is garbage.

Most of the games aside from that are ports and shovelware, just like I was dreading would happen.

This is the only thing I'm looking forward to from e3

In order to better manage costs of Wii U development, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has said that the publisher will be able to port projects for Nintendo's new console to tablets and smartphones.

Speaking to press last night at an invitation-only event ahead of the company's E3 showing, Guillemot said while Wii U content can't be shared with Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles there's more opportunity to recoup costs if a title isn't successful on a single touch-screen platform.

"The new content you can't port on the other machines but what you can do is to port it to mobile phones and to tablets. So it's a way to create content that you will be able to port on the generations of tablets or phones that work well - if you don't monetise it there you can monetise it on many other platforms."

"You have to do specific content to be monetised by the Wii U itself but it's also an opening to all the tablets and phones because it's a same system in in a way, the touch screen."

Today the publisher revealed all eight titles it's preparing for the launch window of the Wii U, covering core, casual, sports and fitness audiences.

New IP ZombiU, from Ubisoft Montpellier, is designed for the hardcore gamer, and will join Assassin's Creed III as an 18-rated game for the Nintendo console.

Catering to the casual audience that the Wii so successfully attracted are Just Dance 4 and Your Shape Fitness Evolved, while Rayman Legends and Rabbids Land are geared towards the family - central to Nintendo's vision of playing together. Completing the portfolio are Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth and Sports Connection

I know some had question about this. ABC news has confirmed with Nintendo that WiiWare and Virtual console titles you own on the Wii, will be able to be transferred to the WiiU.

I guess Madden and more are coming to the WiiU they just didn't announce them, yet.

They probably will be released early in 2013. Meaning they will probably be announced at Gamecon by EA or the like.

EDIT: Err didn't see no one had replied to this thread since I posted last.

A single console will be able to support 12 user accounts.

I guess there is confusion between sources because one says Friend codes will still be needed to initially put in a friend, another says otherwise.

Heh, I think I killed this thread.

http://wiiublog.com/retro-is-hard-at-work-but-nintendo-is-not-going-to-talk-about-what-theyre-working-on/

In an interview with Reggie Fils-Aime, IGN asked him what Retro Studios is working on. They’re rumored to be working on a Wii U title that “everyone wants” them to do. But for the time being, Reggie only said that:

…if I disclosed what Retro is doing, I would have the president of Retro literally calling me right now saying, “Reggie, what are you doing?” We love that people are interested. We love surprising people. I remember getting the questions before we announced Donkey Kong Country Returns. And I loved unveiling that. So… Rest assured, the team is hard at work. But I’m not gonna tell you what they’re working on.

And so the waiting game continues.

I would love to see a sequel to ED, but I'm not holding my breath. I find it hilarious that Silicon Knights spent years developing a crappy game that didn't sell and not once did anyone think "Eternal Darkness 2" yeah we should do that!"

The optimistic one in me hopes that Retro (and maybe Monolith) is working on an amazing title to counter the announcement reveal of the new consoles from Sony and Microsoft during the next E3.

Hey, a man can dream!
