Odd news. It seems Nintendo is sending out viral phone calls to video game journalists. This is what is sent:

"Have you heard of the Wii U? If not, you will."
http://mynintendonews.com/2012/06/03/is-u-will-the-wii-us-slogan/

So is the slogan: "U Will"?

i found this interesting because there are two pics of a game called "medium"

theres is one and the same person standing in two different worlds so i thought maybe with the wii u controler and the TV you can see two worlds at the same time..sound cool :D

I wonder what they mean by ''concepts behind Wii U''. I hope they wont show us vague ideas of what is possible on wii u like they did in last E3 (like the ninja stars, video, ui on screen). We all saw that before and all have a vague idea of whats possible. I wanna see REAL stuffs, not what is possible. I wanna see if theyr is actualy be a video chat and how it will work. I wanna see real news about online and apps. If it will have steam or origin, if it will have cloud gaming and if it will have a OS,. And if there is, I wanna actualy see it. Also wanna hear about the social media integration.

And I know they said that the games will be at E3, but I wish they would end the conference with 1 game reveal, ending the conference with a bang.

This isn't Nintendo saying concepts. This is just a developer saying that there is a lot possible that can be done on the Wii U. We will be seeing plenty of software. Nintendo even is having a seperate event from the Press Conference on Tuesday just to show off all the software on the Wii U. Plus since they are doing the proper unveiling today Ubisoft and EA will be able to cover the Wii U tomorrow. My body and silvia glands are ready... hehe.

Blobber Team's Medium coming to Wii U

Nintendo journalists around the globe are working together to find out what this Medium game is all about. We know for sure that it's coming from Bloober Team. Here are some other details that have cropped up.

If you email the address on the teaser site, you're likely to get this response.

Enjoy your game!
You have only seen half so far.
This is all what I can tell you at this time.
Something big is coming :)

On top of that, here's what an E3 email has to say in its "First Looks from Exhibitors" section.

"Medium

Completely new model of gameplay. New gender. The game is coming for WiiU or PSvita/PS3 and also for X360, iOS, Android and PC."

So...now we know what's really going on with the game, just not much on what it's about. I'm guessing we'll get more viral marketing during E3!

Crytek has no plans for Wii U

Crytek, the developer behind such titles as Crysis 3 and Homefront 2, doesn’t have any plans to make games for the Wii U at the moment. Founder and CEO Cevat Yerli shared the update in an interview with German site Golem.

Although Crytek won’t be involved with software development, the studio’s CryEngine technology will be incorporated into projects from other companies.

Yerli said (rough translation):

“Neither the one nor the other console to date, we have something planned. There will be Wii U games that run with the CryEngine, but they come from the licensees…”

Gearbox: Nintendo has been listening to Wii U feedback, controller specs will "be awesome"!

“We were early in seeing what was happening with the Wii U and we’ve been able to give some feedback. They’ve listened, and I think we’ll see some cool stuff that we’ve had some influence over. I think the final controller specs are going to be awesome.” - Gearbox Software art director Brian Cozzens

New Wii U Rumor to excite you before the conference!

- until the V4 dev kit, the system had 8GB of flash memory to store your applications
- 512MB of separated flash was used to store the OS
- for quite some time, developers only had access to the SD slot, with the flash memory being inaccessible
- there will be a hard drive option, but it will not be mandatory
- Dev kits have a hard drive
- this is to store the projects studios are working on
- foreign devs knew there would be external hard drive support, but didn't know the specifics
- USB may be 2.0 instead of 3.0
- Nintendo may have their own branded hard drive option
- "V5" dev kits don't increase the flash memory
- for most of last year, devs were using the dev kit HDD or their host PC, as they didn't have access to the flash memory
- devs can now emulate Wii U discs digitally

This seems to be a integration of the ideas Dark Souls had for single player games. It is kind of neat. I can see the possiblities the people of Techryarch were talking about.
