Forums - Gaming - What console will you be buying next gen?

Probably none, I don't like the way things are going with DLC and online passes - especially in closed environments such as consoles.

i do agree, but you dont want to miss out on what could be some amazing games!

wii u and already got a 3ds

For now Wii U, maybe a second one but is too early, they have not even announce anything yet

Definitely buying a wiiu...already own a 3ds...

I will also buy either the next xbox or ps4 but don't know which at this stage (this gen I ended up with all 3 consoles so who knows really...but the nintendo machine's are always 100% day one purchases for me no matter what!)

The Wii U because I'm a mindless drone that buys everything made by Nintendo.

Wii U
PS4

Maybe PSV when the price drops a little

3ds - have it. But I'll probably buy 3ds lite/XL when it releases
Vita - sometime around august - october
Probably Wii U - Zelda and Dragon Quest are yummy.

Not a chance for PS4 or Xbox 720

PS4 and WiiU

The next Xbox maybe after its 3 or 4 years old.
I dont care for Shooters,Xbox Arcade Games and Kinect...
I bought the 360 for J-RPGs and stuff like Kameo,Dead of Alive and so on...
This stuff is now gone and i play here and there Fifa with friends on it.The PS3 got most of their stuff back and the Multiplats i care for run better on the PS3 or of course on my PC.

neXes or whatever. Arguments against would be:

1. A smaller controller, I want something bigger not smaller.

2. Efforts to cut out used games may have been over-emphasized by the anti-M$ crowd but the original comment came from someone at M$. That's disturbing. Prices are high enough for new games and don't drop nearly as fast as they should. If they want to go straight ddl then give people who buy a lot of games a discount. PC game prices have always reflected the savings inherent in ddl and an inability to resell. Console SW is approaching the same model without the initial savings and nothing like the price drops I read about on Steam.

3. Backwards compatability. They learned a lesson there so hopefully it'll be BC day 1.

4. Price. The next gen motion sensor/control may be expensive enough to jack the price of the box up too high. An option to opt out please. I won't be buying anything above $350.

5. They have to address the occasional need for multi-dvd titles. There isn't much effort involved but it bothers me as an indicator of dated tech and a failure to adapt. Devs like Bethesda who put huge games on one multi-layer disc must be spending $ on data-compression that could be used elsewhere. As I understand it uncompressed audio files in particular are noticably better.

6. I hate Kelly Green. Just gruesome. Are you listening Brett?

Sorry for way off topic.
