Anyone else getting this? The annoying thing is this is happening for software that utilizes the same system but isn't from M$, which I kinda need at times. Anyone else with me on this or?

"pedro.... i don't know anything about computers and my internet is f'd.
soooo.. i have wireless and if it says (when i'm repairing the connection) that it can't connect because it can't renew the IP address, how can i fix this? everyone i've called has been less than helpful, to put it diplomatically
amanda, the computer retard"
i won't be seeing her until saturday so i don't know anything else about the problem but if any of you have any ideas about what the problem is i'd appreciate the input.

First, reset the power on the internet router AND the wireless router, then try the repair operation.
Try the computer hard wired in. If that doesn't work, you may have a problem with your router, or the network protocols on the computer.
Try to bypass the wireless router completely and connect the computer directly to the internet router (reset the internet router if you don't get an address at first). If you can get connection on the internet router, but not from the wireless router, try resetting the wireless router and reconfiguring it (use the reset button on the back) or getting a new wireless rtr.
If it still won't work, try a known working computer on the network, if the known working couputer doesn't work, on either the wireless router or the internet router, try getting the ISP to send you a new internet router.

My question is: what newer CPUs would you recommend for this to make it a gaming system as it is only 1.50 GHz?
Also, can I add more memory w/o changing the mb as it has only 2 GB of DD2 RAM? Overclocking ram or something? Probably not, but you can never be 100% sure.
My brother wants to play morrowind on his laptop with integrated graphics. It works at a good framerate, and max settings, but for some reason it glitches alot. I figured it is because the Pixel Shaders weren't on, but it doesn't let me turn them on. The water flickers white, and characters, buildings, etc also flicker. His GPU supports Pixel Shader 2.0 according to wikipedia.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_GMA So could anybody help me get the Pixel Shaders to work?
Here's my problem:
I have one of those IBM Computers where settings are locked in. Every time I turn off the computer, the settings RETURN to the original way they were.
If I set the Desktop to Windows XP, it returns to Classic upon Shut Down. I'm trying to install a wireless antennae into the computer but upon installation, requires you to turn off the cpu and resume installation when in turns back on.
However, with my settings, the process just keeps restarting again because of my computer not saving ANY changes. Even when I put my external HDD in, it always reads it as new hardware.
I need to get rid of this annoying feature.
CAN ANYBODY PM me some help???
