That is Platinum for USA. It did quite well first week but remember; this was in the DS's hayday.

 


You do know that in the space of 1 year black and white vastly outsold diamond and pearl, compare the sales! pokemon is fairly bigger now then it was when diamond and pearl released, and even when the ds install died, it did way better then diamond and pearl did.

 

So you might want to change you're poll, and platinum was one game this is two, so the sales will boost a bit from people wanting to own 2 copys.

I hope you mean world wide! Those sales you said might be Japanese Sales FW. (The 2 Million Part.) I coubt it'll do that much first week in Europe or America. People have noticed that DS Games do not look good on their 3DS's and I doubt they'd want to play a bad looking game. If Nintendo does something special to the game, like the up resing of the textures and pixels, then I could see it doing better because people wouldn't mind buying it for the 3DS. It is two games but people usually don't buy both, it'll end up the same or a little above Platinum.

I do mean world wide, but Pokemon's main fanbase is 10 year olds, and i doubt they will care about ds games looking bad on the 3ds, plus this game will easily do 10m ltd

 

Plus am i the only one who thinks the 3ds enhances the graphics on ds games?? :O

I don't know, i'm currently playing heartgold on my ds lite and soul silver on my 3ds to compare, and the ds version is more colourfull, but the 3ds version is much sharper, but lacks colour
