Launches are pointless to base on. All launches sell crap loads.

I'm curious about the following months comparing to the 3DS due to the price.

The 3DS at $250 was thought to be a ripoff and over priced.
The PSV at $250 is thought to be an amazing deal.

So which one will sell more at that price.

And lets say PSV doesn't do any better than the 3DS. The question then is WHY?
Is $250 just too high for any handheld? The games not as good? Bad Sony PR at moment? Or why is something that is a good value not selling better than one that is a "rip-off"

I would post my feelings, but I've been told not to. :(

Europe had Fifa as launch title. Wait for Call of Duty in the U.S to see a HUGE boost in sales. oh and btw.. it sold 1.1m? the vita is DOOMED! DOOMED I TELL YOU! /s

Anyone saying its doomed or a success based on launch numbers is being stupid.  End discussion.

Weak sales overall but not a total disaster yet.

Unit 13 looks really good based on the demo and reception of media and users, this + Resistance and Gravity Daze (which looks like the first real AAA title for the system) will maintain the sales high in the west until COD or GTA hits (Gta more likely in 2013) and maybe a pricecut comes.

In Japan it needs a Final Fantasy (aside from the FFX remake) Monster Hunter and/or MGS to get out of the trouble, but we will see, and in my personal opinion I think it will do much better in the west.

BTW, great launch numbers.

Not as good as the DS or 3DS. but then it was never expected to be, a nice start to what should hopefully be the beginning of great things. theres only a few good games i would consider getting as well, so i will pick one up when we get some more hits.
