So what does this mean exactly is Vita software selling good compared to 3ds or predictions

Strange that Chart-Track didn't give out hardware numbers although it's very apparent that the original PSP had better hardware and software launch numbers based on the following press release:

If the games start sliding off the charts quickly in the coming weeks then it will be a very bad sign for Vita since we can assume it means it has no legs in order to catch up with the original.

Not really surprising the Vita doesn't really have any competition games wise ATM, and WOW Syndicate floped hard on the PS3.

I think Vita has done reasonably well with the expectations.. With depressing japan numbers, price which was looking very high after 3DS discount and battering of SONY brand as a whole.. Vita seems to have gathered some traction with it.. and look like it might just be better hit in West then in Japan..

Not bad at all. Now it needs to sustain sales.

 From what I've read the launch software puts it below PSP and above 3DS for launch. Albeit it gets a bit messy as 3DS only had 2 days on sale whereas Vita had 4 - not sure how many PSP had. It's really impossible to extrapolate much more from this.

 Software will definitely slide next week, as was the case with 3DS. Would be interesting if anyone could get some sort of idea how the PSP software held up after launch?

Considering Ufc Undisputed 3 only did 16k in it's frist week last week and it's still number 3 and MW3 and BF3 are averaging 7-8k a week now, I doubt those Top Vita games have done anymore than 20k each.

The Vita game numbers are only for 2 days btw
