As a kid, I saw my older brothers play the Final Fantasy games,but, I never did. I started playing action/adventure, puzzle, platformers, fighter, and sports games as a kid and I grew up playing those games. I never really pay attention to RPGs because I was always playing other games. You should try some of the classic rpgs like, Chrono Trigger, final fantasy series, dragon quest, legend of dragoon, and many many other timeless games.
