Ok, this is a major problem. It's now three days in stores at Wal-mart in not a single unit has been moved since. I don't know any console that has that low of interest. People go by the video game ailse everyday so there's no way you can miss the thing.

I don't think it's the games available either(there's only Uncharted and Hot Shots Golf), I think it's the required memory card that loses people interest. You can clearly see on the box that a memory card is required, but it's not included. Then, they think: "What? A memory card is required, but it's not included if it?". The accessories are right behind the system ailse, but then they think: "These tiny things are the memory cards? My fingernail is larger than this thing. $30 for a 8GB? But, the SD cards are $15. Are there other memory cards that are cheaper?"

Finally it's how they think everything together: "So if I buy this system for my son, it'll be $330? Maybe I should think about more? That's too high of a price of a handheld gaming system with only one game to play. And are these games that high on price? This Uncharted game is $50. Are other games like this?"

Ok, I know this is not really what someone would think, but this is a general idea of what a parent or someone who has never played a video game might think. Of course gamers are interested in these products all the time. But, like I said no one is picking up the Vita. So what about gamers? Why aren't they picking up the Vita? They know there's a Gamestop across the street, so maybe Gamestop are selling the Vitas more. But, I said before that only three people showed up at the midnight launch on 2/22 and there are still plenty of Vitas available to buy there as well.

I felt the exact same way when I bought a ps2 and a ps1. I didn't like it at all, but I bought them anyway.

@naruball I had a PS2 as well, but that's been gone for years now.

3DS outsells vita in it'#s launch week again, good legs on those 3DS software too.

Buying in 2015: Captain toad: treasure tracker,

mario maker

new 3ds

yoshi woolly world

zelda U

majora's mask 3d

@Nintendogamer Actually, that's it's prelaunch. But, it is funny that 3DS outsold Vita twice. Wonder how it's going to be on the global chart on it's first week.

I don't think it will sell as amazingly as some people think (I'm still sticking with my ~175k prediction for US), but I think it will beat 3DS sales next week since it's the official launch week and there seems to be a lot of Sony fans really excited for it. After that though, I think it will drop pretty harshly like it did in Japan.
