Nice looks like I might jump back into the rpg genre since I already preordered Xenoblade. This game looks pretty damn interesting and actually has some good screenshots. It pretty much looks like a HD game to me in most of the screenshots (especially the cities/towns).

I already pre-ordered Xenoblade. Time to pony up for The Last Story.

I think that's just a placeholder date... If it's true, then that's one heck of a nice birthday present for myself!

Both those sites list the exact same date and were linked from Xseed's twitter.   I think it's legit.

Played it already, it's pretty much like a linear dungeon crawler with a fun battle system, game structure is a bit like FFXIII in terms of how linear it is except The Last Story has one big town in it but on the other hand no open area like Gran Pulse.

Xenoblade is leagues better in my opinion, but The Last Story is a good game.

Go Into The Last Story expecting a fun action game because it is very fun so be accepting of this change...do not go in expecting a traditional JRPG experience.

Hironobu Sakaguchi must be applauded for the innovations the game brings and the excellent voice acting; probably the best voice acting in a JRPG this generation, it's ashame the story is mediocre.
