Forums - General - 76% of Britons are not religious

That number is high but probably depends on what you consider religious, if religious is attending church reguarly then no I am not. If asked do I believe in Christina values Yes and am.

I would say that many British would consider themselves "Christian" in the sense that they kind of believe in God, but are not willing to do prayer or go to church.

This ^

And the amount of dumb sluts, or to put it nicely, uneducated whores that go to my school and wear that damn crucifix around their neck and call themselves christian is ridiculous, I bet almost none of them have even read the bible or even know anything about christianity at all other than what they've learnt in RE. They just wear it as a fashion statement of somekind. Not that I'm christian or religious in any way, but the ignorance and stupidity of it just pisses me off.

Wait, is it cool to be Christian now? I've never seen anybody wear a crucifix simply as a fashion item xD

But not all of them, right? Pure christian's and the Bible is strictly against people being homo and/or believig in other religions.

Great! Though it definitely doesn't feel that way where I am. Almost everyone in my school is either muslim or christian, maybe only 5-10% would call themselves atheist/agnostic. I'm in Brent though, the most multi-cultural area in Europe, so this is an anomaly.

Historically and culturally (though not anymore), Britain could be called Christian, but thankfully christians are becoming a minority here according to the polls. (No offence)

Apparantly. It's because they see music artists etc wearing crucifixes, and imitate.

I know very few people who aren't wither atheists or agnostic. I know 2 Anglicans, a Sikh, a few Hindus and several Buddhists. This is despite coming from a very white, middle class area. Almost nobody I know is Christian, and I see nothing wrong with that.

Oh wow, apparently in Brent only 30.9% are White British, in comparison to where I live, which has a 91.7% rate xD

Yep, it came as a surprise to most of my class that britain is like 90% white. Out of 25 students about 5 of us are white, ana about 3 out of those 5 are white british, I'm white european.
