That is quite a good accomplishment! I just wish Nintendo would include some type of information on which ones sold and how much. At least a chart of Top 10 eShop Sellers

I thought they already listed the top eShop sellers every week, I always see them being posted on GoNintendo.

They do? I thought Nintendo didn't publish sales of their eShop and WiiWare developer sales.

They don't publish the actual numbers, but they do post the games that sold the most each week.

Global they made 11 million for whole 2011?

That's pretty good. Considering that the 3DS is selling really well (211,326 this week according to VGC), they don't need to lower the price. More 3DS sold, more eshop downloads.

That is great for Nintendo and they have some good games coming out soon, so its been a good year so far for Nintendo...Lets see what the PS Vita will do when launched

Two thoughts.

1. Not sure of FADE LLC's methodology (it is not listed on its website). Also, note that Nintendo is NOT listed as a present or past client.

2. Lowering the price will only increase sales if they are relatively elastic. If they are relatively inelastic, then increasing the price will actually increase revenue.

I'm no expert on sales numbers and profits. I only know that I personally would buy more if the prices were lower.
With the current prices I only buy the absolute top games. Otherwise I'd even buy some that I'm on the fence about.

I say VC prices need to be cut in half.
3DS Ware prices are okay in my opinion.

Clients would be companies that buy/bought their reports.

Nintendo obviously know their own sales numbers and don't need to be one of FADE's clients.

An excellent point ... though I guess I was thtown since Microsoft is listed among the clients. Of course, that may be because there is no way for it to know about Windows PC downloads.

As for buying more games at half the price, the key point is how much would your game buying increase. Because if it only doubled for a price cut by half, revenues stay the same but profits fall since there is a fixed cost associated with each game (or an amount of money that must be raised to pay for the cost of making the game before there can be profits).

As ever, we should point out that these are estimated sales figures and revenues provided by FADE and may not be entirely accurate. We should also note the eShop only launched on 6th June, so these figures are for a seven month sales period. Still interesting, though.

Estimated Top Selling Titles, by Gross Revenues (Annual, 2011)

1. The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Nintendo) - 338,700 Units / $2.3 Million USD (VC)
2. 3D Classics: Excitebike (Nintendo) - 481,100 Units / $1.3 Million USD (eShop)
3. Super Mario Land (Nintendo) - 230,500 Units / $1.1 Million USD (VC)
4. Freakyforms: Your Creations, Alive! (Nintendo) - 112,700 Units / $969,000 USD (eShop)
5. Pushmo (Nintendo) - 93,300 Units / $634,000 USD (eShop)
6. Kirby's Dream Land (Nintendo) - 84,500 Units / $384,000 USD (VC)
7. Let's Golf! 3D (Gameloft) - 43,200 Units / $356,000 USD (eShop)
8. Donkey Kong (Nintendo) - 82,800 Units / $348,000 USD (VC)
9. 3D Classics: Xevious (Nintendo) - 47,900 Units / $301,000 USD (eShop)
10. Hyu Stone (Poisoft) - 50,300 Units / $293,000 USD
