Well I was logged on to PSN a few hours ago and no free Far Cry 2 (ps+).

The release in US Store is always tuesday night... the release in EU Store is always wednesday night.

Ahh, good to know! I just saw Far Cry 2 now, for free. Downloading it. It's good to be a PSN Plus member.
