Pretty much what CGI said.

I personally feel MGS4 is in a league of its own.The only game I feel more love for is Uncharted 3 and everyone knows how obsessed i am with that.

 

I got my UC3 ring today btw! :D Fucking love it!!!!!

Very few titles have struck me like MGS4, and frankly, it's got several moments that I've seen all gen (and in my entire gaming time) that no other game has matched. Still, the opinions are all good, so I'm not hating on the opposition.

I've noticed that games that tend to recieve like.. 80-85ish Metacritic and not get praised to death have usually only good things being heard whereas games that are ranked high tends to create this.. major "hate" over time. I suppose it's always been like this but I am only recently realizing how :0 it is.

There are valid points in this thread though, I just can look past them because the overall experience is mindblowing to me.

I remember the ending. It felt like I was in a movie, and it felt dramatic. Never had that feeling before or since. Well done.

I think it comes with the fact that these games are praised to no end by the people who consider them masterpieces. I don't know why but it rubs me the wrong way when people can see no fault in a game that in my view has some pretty obvious flaws (like the B&B in MGS4 or the hand-to-hand combat in UC3).
