Forums - Gaming Discussion - Yoda and Darth Vader in Soul Calibur 4

BOooooooooo.

Really, I don't like other properties gumming up my games like this. Keep Star Wars in the movies (or their own games). This is too much.

Haha very entertaining Bod.

Personally, I'm tired of seeing Star Wars bastardized like this, and I really don't care for this development.

On the scale of Starwars bastardization, where 1 is the Rogue Squadron books (awesome) and 10 is Jar Jar slippers, this rates a 4. Which is pretty good when you consider that the prequel movies themselves rate an 8.

Though it doesn't convert me to a SC fan (wouldn't know, never played), it's still pretty awesome.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

i think this is a great addition to a game i was already looking forward to

I blame SSB for including every character under the sun, making the SC devs try and answer in turn. And yes, I'm aware that this isn't the first none SC character to appear in a SC game.

I love the SC series and this only makes it even better.

For me this is more like a 7.  Which translates to "Shit, we can't make anymore movies.  Quick, shove them in every game under the sun."

And sieanr at least SSBB's purpose is to get a bunch of completely different characters together.  This is Soul Calibur...  and Star Wars characters don't fit in at all.

Dare I ask where the Wookiee Life Day Special ranks?

I like the SC series, i love the SW original movies, and i like some SW games. However why would there be SW characters in the SC universe. Last time i checked there weren't any space ships or futuristic things like that in SC.

I agree. SSB is all about video game characters from different franchises, SC isnt. It just seems like a gimmick putting star wars characters in, like how link was a gimmick in GC SC2.
