I have a question:
Why is Rosberg's team such sissies? I mean we have seen that Hamilton can hold of prolonged attacks even if he is slower on that day. So I figure that Rosberg has to keep attacking and wear him down or something. Yet, for the second time this season, when Rosberg is slightly faster on the track and closing in on Hamilton, the team chooses to switch strategies and hope they can catch him in the last few laps.
For example, in Spain, Rosberg was close to Hamilton, then Hamilton changes tires and looses a second because of a right front slow change. Meanwhile Rosberg runs a fastest lap. But then, instead of capitalizing on the time gained, Rosberg stays out and starts loosing time. But, it turns out that he doesn't loose too much because Hamilton has oversteer problems. Now, had Rosberg changed the tires to medium ones one (or two) laps after Hamilton did, he would have been all over his back side and would have had the chance to go at him several times until the end of the race.
But they chose to not use the misfortune of Hamilton, and managed to have a strategy where Rosberg got there, but never had time for an attack.
Same thing in Bahrain. Rosberg is all over the slower Hamilton, who holds on to the lead brilliantly, and then Rosberg decides to let him go. If not for the safety car, Rosberg would have not had another chance to attack Hamilton ... I think (actually, I don't know the time/distance between them when the safety car came in).
