They say it's supposedly similar to a Vita and iPad, and less like the 'bulky' WiiU controller...

First, the iPad and Vita look nothing alike. They're extremely different.
Second, they go on to say it's a screen with the traditional xbox buttons and sticks around it. Sounds -exactly- like WiiU's controller to me, and nothing like an iPad.

So which is it? x'D

I think MS will release a portable/home console hybrid next gen. Their way into the portable market is nigh imho.

While I don't think any of the big three can take significant losses on hardware next generation. Microsoft is the company in the best position to take losses. As for the touch screen controller being best for multimedia and Nintendo not being that good in multimedia.

With Kinect 2.0 and voice control what purpose does the tablet suit Microsoft if they aren't copying Nintendo? As a control interface for multimedia I can't see how it will be more beneficial then Kinect.
