This is why I don't believe the Pre-order charts they post every week. FF 13-2 was around 450k pre-orders in the USA chart. Then has a first week of 295k in sales for US? Come on, that's pathetic! Now i know for sure those ME3 pre-order numbers on BS!

I think VGC are having serious troubles estimating FF franchise popularity.

Something like that happened with XIII , it took only a few days to adjust its number upward, back then ioi mentioned that they didn't use the right method to estimate the franchise.

XIII-2 is even harder to estimate considering all the XIII drama/criticism we had, I hope we get official shipment numbers from SE soon .

I thought they only estimated sales? What does popularity have to do with it?
So XIII-2 really flopped hard......

Many elements are taken into consideration when estimating the sales , franchise popularity and the genre of the game for example, I'm sure FF is giving them a hard time ... the only big JRPG in the west .

Not trying to downplay VGC, they are doing a fine job ... but I'll wait for shipment numbers before I say such a thing
