For my personal tastes the best device for gaming is the 360. It's got just about every game I could wish for, has a controller specifically made for your hands to make gaming more comfortable and it has party chat so I can chat with my friends no matter what game I'm playing at the time.

Okay, so if verity is the number of genres covered (I don't know where you got that word from oO), then PS3 is definitely not on top, sorry. Most games Sony released this gen as exclusives were based of the nitty gritty shooters found on the Xbox. I'll give you the source if you're interested.
