My favourite game behind Uncharted 3. It made me a gamer, such an amazing experience. Over the course of 08-12, I've completed it 15 times. Trust me, you haven't seen "all codecs" nor all paths xD. Higher difficulty really forces you to find alternate paths and stealth. Masterpiece

I think this game had the less "codec moments" than any of the other MGS games, ever.  There were a lot of cool easter eggs in the other three.

I was just replying to the guy who said "i saw every radio msg" etc etc. My fave MGS are the first and last, followed by Peacewalker, followed by 2 and 3 at last. (I had spoiled 3 and expected too much from a gameplay perspective as I was hyped beyond anything). The 2nd game had me go like wtf is happening and I actually enjoyed it as i was going in with the thought that it was an abomination to the mgs franchise. I had a lot of fun with Raiden having a faster pace of movement and I did enjoy the somewhat fked up plot. PW surprised me.

Uncharted 3 is one of my favorites aswell Uncharted 2 but MGS4 Story is just from another world and MGS for me will allways be the best :3 The part when we return to MGS1 island damn such a great feeling to see how much graphics have evolved and how beautifull the snow is in MGS4... Damn the part we play MGS1 i almost cried, that game brings great memories... Never Will FORGET <3

So far this Gen Games that really got in my heart :

MGS4, Uncharted 2/3, Gears of War 1/3, BioShock 1, Mass Effect 1/2, Alan Wake, Red Dead Redemption.

I´ve loved some more like Conviction with Sam looking for her daughter, remind me of The Taken (Movie). God of War 3 and some others im not remembering right now.

But yeah back on Topic : MGS4 freaking amazing!

MG4 was a let down to me in regards to gameplay. Amazing story though.

MGS2 was the best in the series, MGS3 was overated and had weak bosses.

Just a reminder that Rafux has a rare disease that makes him think that the number 2 is the number 3 and vice versa.  He still calls Micael Jordan "Good ol' 32."  It's tragic, really.

Seriously watch this video its called "The reality of MGS2" and its what I have been telling everyone about MGS2 for the last 10 years, thats the real marterpiece of Kojima.

You're preaching to the choir.  I bought this back in 2002:

It pretty much details the creation and thought process of Kojima and company during the creation of MGS2.  I still have it.  You don't have to look for people's interpretation of what Kojima meant to do with MGS2 because it's all right here in this "game" and was released even before any info of MGS3 came out.  I already knew it was supposed to be Kojima's last MGS game (even though he already went on record saying MGS1 was the final realization of his ultimate Metal Gear).  Lots of good info and insight in this package including (I'm looking at page 6 of the manual) a draft of the entire script, a developer timeline from conception to inception, special exclusive video footage, and more.  You can even watch all of the cinematics in the game, pause, rewind, and zoom around with some sort of "god cam".

I also made this:  http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=93723&page=1

It's just that Metal Gear Solid 3 is the greatest game ever made and also, fuck Metal Gear Solid 4.  I did watch and enjoy the video, though.  It was a great reminder of a lot of good things I may have forgotten, too.  Thanks for posting it.

WTF!?! The bosses are one of MGS3's strong points (among many others).

When I finished MGS2 for the third time in european extreme difficulty I had all the answers I need it, I don't know why people wanted to know absolutely everything.

Vamp? well for me he was a real vampire just that simple (its konami after all).

Liquid's arm possesion? he was such a bad motherfvcker that he went back from hell through his arm.

The patriots? the entity that secretly controlled America and the world of course I didn't think they were AI, I thought they were some form of amalgamated knowledge passed down for generations used to control people, like the bible.

What happend to Liquid at the end? Snake would keep a track on him but don't stop him since they were on the same page, find out about the patriots and stop them.

In my opinion MGS3 its a great game but too easy, most of the bosses didn't have a good backstory like in MGS1 and 2, also it was predictable and the constant switching of camo made the game too slow for me. MGS4 I loved it Kojima did what it could to answer all questions and that was the main problem but still it had a nice emotional ending, its not a perfect game like many sites said but it was a good game.

Really?

The Fury: "I'm angry I went to space and I'm angry grrrrrr eat fire Snake"

The Pain: "I can control bees I grow inside of me".

The Fear: "I can dislocate my arms and look freaky"

Thats it, they had no back story at all. The rest were cool The Sorrow, The End, Ocelot, Volgin was no match for Liquid but he was crazy enough. The game was too easy for me to enjoy it.
