Forums - Microsoft - Xbox 720 'console' may actually be a TV?

Maybe if it was a tablet sized console; I don't know here.

It's not like I'd buy a Microsoft brand TV to replace the one in my living room for the main purpose of playing Xbox video games.

And I'm not too sure I'd even want to buy a desk top all-in-one sized console/LCD display next to my PC either.

I could conceivably see myself buying a Windows 8 touchscreen PC in the future, but unless this was built into the "Xbox TV" (or should that be the Xbox would be built into the Windows PC?), I can't say I'm really keen on the idea of having any console (or PC for that matter) tied to one display.

It's a lot easier to replace a broken console after all.

Around the Network

"For $130, Best Buy will come to your house and connect your PS3. That's the argument for why video game consoles are now more complex than ever?"

the same can be said for any modern tech device including TVs and Smartphones. Also i'm sure only a tiny minority actually relies on those services lol

Yeah, already have a TV. Won't happen

BOOM!  FACE KICK!

TV only is a terrible idea MS is too smart for that.
