ASCII Media Works, known for its Dengeki magazines, has reported that Resident Evil: Revelations has sold-through 75% of its initial shipment in Japan its first week on sale, which essentially is around 158,012 copies. The figures show a discrepancy between ASCII’s figures and those of Media Create’s, which stated earlier this week the Capcom title moved 146,559 units its first week on sale. Furthermore, ASCII’s figures state another debut, Tales of Innocence R for Vita, moved 70% of its shipment, which is close to 53,000 copies, a bit less than the 54,853 reported by Media Create. Regardless which figures are correct, both debuts did well the first week on offer. Thanks,Siliconera.

The Last Story sold about 90% of the first shipment in the first week, and it didn't turn out so well in the end.

Thats good news!
I have to agree with the party-pooper above me though.
If Revelations can't have good legs then there is no hope for it. I hope it does well though, very deserving of great sales.

Well percentage wise it is good, but it was the developing/producer company who managed to make that a flop.

 

Lack of Advertising and lack of shipment units, same with Capcom's less known titles (Darkstalkers, Breath of Fire, etc).

 

Its a shame really ;(

I wished it had done better. It looked like it was a very good game. ;(

I will get it more than likely, hopefully I like it more than Xenoblade Chronicles xD!

Did the spelling error make it to the US? If so I might want to just buy one and keep it sealed then buy another.

I think the US version is the only one that has the spelling error.
