Still can't believe Naughty Gods have 2 studios, what a shock, almost every year from now on we will see greatness

not impressed could be cause we are far into the gen or that the game is un finished
i dont like how it looks so similar to uncharted and the obvious low res textures and its not just the truck look at the trees in the 2nd pic and the 3rd pic shows obvious signs of very low to no anisotropic filtering and wouldnt be surprised if it stays that way as its that way in NDs uncharted games and 3rd party games like COD also have issues implementing it compared to the x-box
also aint impressed cause nothing in the screens look interesting as far as gameplay goes

Play Me
Wait, how does this look like Uncharted?
I guess the inner-city environment is similar to the beginning of Uncharted 3.
Lol Car doesnt look that bad.
This game going to be really good, after all its Naugthy Dog we´re talking about :3
Uncharted: Drake's Infection.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

inengine not ingame there is a difference, an in engine trailer is developer speak for using the engine to render a film much like movie studios do or in other words each frame could take any length of time to render and then the frames are later turned into a video. So if they wanted to they could make a CGI movie level trailer on a PS3 inengine, it would just take several years to render. But then they could still tell everyone that the trailer was inengine captured from a PS3 withot lieing.
The Last of Us was never going to look close to the trailer.
The screens look about standard for an early ingame bullshot (they clearly have a heavy antialiasing pass on top hence the complete lack of aliasing) they seem to have improved character models from Uncharted 3 a little bit but enviroment detail seems to have taken a bit of a hit in some areas compaired to Uncharted 3 bullshots but they may be placeholder assets and draw distance seems better.
For comparison an Uncharted 3 bullshot

and a ingame shot

The bullshot you posted looks in game to me. The same area that is.
Impressive.

Gaming on: PS4 Pro, Switch, SNES Mini, Wii U, PC (i5-7400, GTX 1060)

It is ingame it just has an extra offline AA pass on it if you open both full screen you can see the seccond pic looks far less smooth especially in the distance, the seccond pick also has some low res textures but that is par for the course and if you can find a single game without some low res textures I would be very surprised.
Uncharted 3 got much closer to it's bullshots than 2 did

naturally that ingame screen is picked to look as bad as possible.
Naughty dog just do an added AA pass these days, Epic on the other hand are legendary with their bullshots, and just about all pre release screens for any game are some form of bullshot

Well, Uncharted 3's cutscenes don't look miles ahead of the in-game stuff, even if the in-engine cutscenes look better. With The Last Of Us, the game WILL look nearly as good as that, but won't be quite as crisp nor cinematic. What they've shown here looks good though and you should always be careful who you talk to regarding certain things from particular sources. You could be mislead. There's actually some video footage showing Evan Wells controlling characters and the camera during that first trailer, so much of it is in-game, while other pieces of it are strictly cutscene. Still, while I don't expect the game to be an exact replica of that first trailer, I DO expect it to eclipse anything seen on current gen consoles thus far, which for Naughty Dog is to be expected. |
Yea the trailer should be quite close in terms of detail, I would be very surprised if it was less than 15-20fps I was just using an exagerated example for pointing out that an inengine trailer doesn't neccesarily mean it will look anything like the final game. Mayby I should have been clearer, I have nothing but the upmost respect for Naughty Dog.
The difference between ingame and trailer should be about the same as Uncharted 3's inengine reveal trailer vs final game.
Also could you link me that video, I have seen the other behind the scenes videos but I haven't seen that
