Yea, I was mainly talking about any "hardcore" gamer that likes to put others down based solely on their gaming preferences.  I see it like this... I don't even game on PC at all anymore yet this article is ridiculous. The exact same article was written when the snes was coming out, then the PS1 coming out, then the PS2 coming out, then the PS3 coming out. The article seems to make the assumption that the ONLY progress from improved technological abilities is graphics.

It also makes one of the stupidest comments I've ever seen. To quote it word for word

Hear that everyone? If a game looks good it will be less interesting. This isn't a loose connection this is an ABSOLUTE fact! Game looks good? Bah it's not interesting. It's such a weird thing to say. There's nothing preventing games from looking good and being interesting. Will it be harder to make big budget games? Yes.... but so don't make a big budget game. Make a PSN or XBLA game to be experimental.

Yes, there are some people, those PC elitists in this case, that are annoying. And wrong in some respects. But i's undeniable that, with more powerful consoles, games could be different. After all, most of the complains about consoles are about the small amount of RAM and how it affects things like the size of the maps and the size/quality of the textures.

And then, there is this bit:

It is true that better graphics don't mean better games, but we have all hear developers talking about a game and how they had the idea for that games years ago but couldn't make the game because of the tech back then.

Yea, sorry just how I feel about most of the young generation (especially when a low 20s or teenager tries to diss on Nintendo in front of me (real life)).  It has been bottled up in me for awhile and I just had to let it loose.  I am going to remove myself though from the conversation but after I saw the first two comments about being elitist I couldn't resist...  I obviously need to go smoke some weed now.
