The plot has completely lost me, I have no idea what is going on anymore. Does anyone understand what is going on? And if so, could someone explain/summarise?

Well , long ago there was a civilization where humans and " the ones that came before " lived together. They were consumed by war and they didn't notice that the end of the world was drawing near. as an act of emergency "the ones that came before" built vaults each one with a method of salvation , they tried six methods but none of them worked, they were running out of time , so they sent all the knowledge from the vaults to a single place. Then the disaster occurred , only 10,000 humans survived and very few of the ones that came before.

The key to that knowledge is Eve DNA and the Apple of Eden, that's why they forced Desmond to kill Lucy ( brotherhood ending ) , apparently, she is the inheritor of Eve ( somehow.. )

Now, Desmond need to find that knowledge and save the world before the doomsday ... 21/12/2012

... I think :p

Holy Shit!

Honestly, I've finished it. All my friends were apparently "mindblown" I just shrugged, the plot has became such a mindfuck, other than the summary above, I had no frigging clue what was going on. Also the ending, his dad is there, big fucking deal. Totally lost me with this shit.

Although Altair was pretty bad ass, and his parts were awesome, including his death. People say Ezio was too old, Altair was killing assassin's at 70. Although I don't understand why he didn't just kill Abbas or w/e his name was, what an asshole character.

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

Reflecting on the game now, you can really tell that it was originally intended for the 3DS. From a financial point of view, I can see why they switched platforms but from a fan's perspective it should have stayed on the 3DS. The series has now lost some of the atmosphere that helped build up the earlier games and I have a feeling Revelations might put a lot of people of Assassin's Creed III. I remember I was desperate to play AC II for about 18 months before its release, but Im very noncommittal about the series now.

AC has an amazing potential as far as gameplay goes, but the story is simply trash. I mean, it is. Its just complicated ( yet far from being smart) and idiotic. I mean PoP:SoT quadrilogy had a pretty good storyline going for it ( the fairytail and the end of it) and even the 2008 release, but ACs story simply sucks.

Im hoping that Ubi will reboot it storywise and bring in some much needed gameplay ideas in the next one. Yet I have a feeling that this funfest will continue, with the inevitable AC3 that will launch somewhere this Q4.

But who am I kidding, I just want a new PoP to dominate Ubisofts parkour portofolio :P
