Yay I don't have to buy that terrible Mercenaries cash grab game to play the Revelations demo.

Mercenaries was actually pretty good if you're into that. I played it for nearly 100 hours.

I don't understand all the gamer rage whining about that game either. Actually, I do, but if there was any complaint about that game, it should be that it really wasn't a $40 full price game. If someone could pick it up for $20, I don't know why anyone would complain.

I logged just over 38 hours with an average session time of about 30 minutes, which is near my limit of how long I want to play any portable game in one sitting. It's very arcade, like SF IV, which suits the portable platform perfectly (speaking as someone who doesn't play on a dinky handheld for hours at a time).

Relative to most games I buy, I got a lot more "bang for buck" (hours of play relative to price of game) by far. Of course most games I buy get less than 10 hours of play, but that still says Mercenaries was engaging enough to keep me coming back the 80 or so times I started it up.

Oh, and Panama needs to know that the Revelations demo on Mercenaries wasn't the same demo as the one on the eShop. I think that one was the E3 demo since it was pretty bare bones (one enemy type, one item/weapon, no pick ups).

The eShop demo is a much better.

it's taking forever to download... is that a good sign? :D

It's a pretty substantial demo.

lol i just woke up and thought i would continue the demo. i walk in to a room with a huge thing and another one of the previous monsters. i wanted to turn around but i couldn't so it went BOOM and then i ran out through the other door and there was another one with claws and then I dead :(

i think the game looks better than RE4 and this is not using the 20 something % that Nintendo later opened up for devs to use and this is a first gen game so games will look awesome later on. i think the game is fun but i still need to finish the demo. i need to get used to the controls though and that the extra stick would make things a lot easier

I made my preorder about a month ago & it seems like it was the right decision. The game is very impressive and not just the visuals, the atmosphere was great and the second difficulty was a very nice touch. My only complaint is that I actually didnt know how to use the herbs ;/ and so I almost died a few times.

i'm going to try out Cooking Mamma now has anybody tried it yet?

Played it once, uninstalled it after. No idea who would even want to play it 30 times. Either way it's absolutely brilliant, the controls are intuitive without the slider peripheral which only makes me wonder what the purpose of the device even is. My one gripe with the game is the sound quality was quite poor and the lack of anti aliasing is clearly evident with a lot of jaggies. However I firmly stand by it being the best looking game on the 3DS. It just doesn't have that wow factor it had when it was first showcased last year since MK7 and SM3DL got released.

just finished Cooking Mamma and i was even better than Mamma

not a game made for me though

as for RE:R wow i suck at this game i died again at the spiky monster

That "spikey monster" got me the first time too, i forgot where my grenades were (left on the d-pad of course)

Suddenly i was on the floor crawling, and swinging away with my knife, but it was all in vain, he finished me off.

2nd time around a grenade and a shotgun shell (maybe 2) put him firmly in his place.

Played the demo 4 times now, planning at least another go before next weeks release.
