Yay I don't have to buy that terrible Mercenaries cash grab game to play the Revelations demo.

Mercenaries was actually pretty good if you're into that. I played it for nearly 100 hours.

I don't understand all the gamer rage whining about that game either. Actually, I do, but if there was any complaint about that game, it should be that it really wasn't a $40 full price game. If someone could pick it up for $20, I don't know why anyone would complain.

I logged just over 38 hours with an average session time of about 30 minutes, which is near my limit of how long I want to play any portable game in one sitting. It's very arcade, like SF IV, which suits the portable platform perfectly (speaking as someone who doesn't play on a dinky handheld for hours at a time).

Relative to most games I buy, I got a lot more "bang for buck" (hours of play relative to price of game) by far. Of course most games I buy get less than 10 hours of play, but that still says Mercenaries was engaging enough to keep me coming back the 80 or so times I started it up.

Oh, and Panama needs to know that the Revelations demo on Mercenaries wasn't the same demo as the one on the eShop. I think that one was the E3 demo since it was pretty bare bones (one enemy type, one item/weapon, no pick ups).

The eShop demo is a much better.
