We'll start counting Hexic when we start counting Pictochat. :P

Numbers are like people. Torture them enough and you can get them to say anything you want.

I don't think its that big of a deal. If you personally don't count it then when you look at the top10 or whatever just move all numbers up one. As I see it you are buying it as part of the price of the Wii. When someone asks me "How many games do you own" I include Wii Sports in that total. Don't you? Therefore it is a game and should be count just the same. Being that it is a pack-in just makes it that simple to count in all regions except Japan.

the argument goes both ways... but the fact that it in itself is even an issue means any site that aspire to seem unbiased shouldn't be counting it. it's an issue of credibility. a site like this has no need to raise controversy.

I don't think it helps the appearance of seeming unbiased and credible that the person keeping track of the numbers and defending the adding of a nintendo pack-in game to the number of game sales has a picture of a nintendo game as his profile picture. Would anyone take NPD's numbers seriously if they had a Nintendo logo at the top of their list of best selling console games?

This posting will likely get me banned but at least it's being honest and I'm pretty sure a lot of people on this site are thinking it.

Are you serious? ioi is a Nintendo fan, true, but where has he or this site been biased towards Nintendo. Including a packin is in no way showing bias towards Nintendo. 360 and ps3 packins are included as well as historical packins like Super Mario Bros and Duck Hunt. During xmas when they were giving away free games with 360's, those games were counted into the software total for 360. Cmon people, stop being so picky about a free game.
