The worst things of Waluigi start from his name itself! Wario is an easy and funny enough joke on Mario, but Waluigi just sounds crap, it's ugly in English, it's ugly in Italian and I'm sure there isn't any language in which it could be considered to sound good, except, maybe, Vogon and R'lyehian.

Ah, but that's where you're wrong about Wario and Waluigi--Waluigi was created by Fumihide Aoki and is voiced by Charles Martinet.[1] His name is a portmanteau of Luigi's name and the Japanese adjective warui (悪い) meaning "bad"; hence, a "bad Luigi".[

Not only that.

If you read it normally in Japanese it's "Waruiji", right? (That's how he's spelt in Japanese) That means "bad Luigi".

Now if you read it several times over you always get "ijiwaru" (turned around iji and waru). "ijiwaru" means malicious, ill-tempered, unkind etc.

That name is great on many levels!

The character itself is meh, I guess...

And Tingle is awesome! :)

Interesting, I didn't know... So the joke works not only for Vogons and R'lyehians, but for the Japanese too!

But he's still a Dick Dastardly rip-off.

I want to see Tingles as a new breed in Pikmin 3. It would be hilarious to see 100 of them limpahing about.

WHERE IS MY KORORINPA 3

Calling them crap is being too nice.

Tingle's probably Nintendo's worst character ever.

Most hated Nintendo Picture of all time?

Ignore his double chin...
