On another note.. anyone seen the latest Berserk movie?

I just watched it yesterday. It's good, the animation is sometimes really bad imo but in other parts it really shines, so it's kinda miss or hit for me. It follows the manga pretty well (although there are some missing things I wished they included). The eclipse part is really amazing, definitely the best part of the movie (and the manga for that matter :p).

Same here. Yeah some of the parts of animation were a bit iffy, but they seem to have improved in the 3D parts (which tbh, was pretty terrible in the previous films). Initially, I was a bit dissapointed that they skipped some stuff in the manga, but to be fair.. they did manage to squeeze a lot of content in the space of like 1h50 mins.

The demons and angels of the God Hand though were depicted perfectly and (oh my) the scene when Guts cuts off his arm, so brutal - my feels! And I 100% agree with you, this is by probably the best part in the story. I can't wait for the next movie arc, its going to get more bloody and crazy from here on out!

But there are a few episodes that will be similar, but not enough to worry about, so enjoy the whole remake series after you enjoy the whole original series.

You can't start any other way outside of watching Boku no Pico.

At least you didn't like it as much. Show is awful. I've never seen something purposefully tell a story vaguely and without detail while still being praised for said bad storytelling.
